Back in 1999 we set out to change the way counselors manage injured worker cases. Today, our software has transformed the disability management industry.

In the 90's keeping track of voc files, forms, and billable hours was tedious, time-consuming work. Latitude changed all that.

Each morning, cases and developments auto-magically appeared in counselor's email and desktop (gone were the days of hunting the state site for updates.)

With information organized in one place, VRCs created correspondence and other work from templates, using data already in their system. No searching! No re-typing!

Integrated eFax, eMail, and contact management made delivering files a breeze. Counselors sent and received work directly from the software they used to manage cases.

Latitude's case noting and invoicing tools finally slayed the time and billing dragon. VRCs could focus on producing better outcomes for their client; Latitude helped them get paid.

Over a decade later, the vast majority of Washington firms have gone paperless with Latitude (bringing 83% of the state's L&I claims with them). That means thousands of hours of drudgery saved per counselor and hundreds of thousands of hours saved by the state as a whole... Time that is now being spent on injured workers.

Latitude Management Team

Jon ThompsonPresident

Jon founded Atlas Development in 1999 and grew Latitude into the Northwest’s largest software provider to the Voc Rehab industry. In the process Jon has become an expert in understanding the work flows and needs of both counselors and firm admins.

His experience logging as a young man led to a lifelong love of all things outdoors (which he shares with his five sons).


Allyson JohnsonChief Financial Officer / Human Resources

Allyson has been a member of management teams at start-ups and software companies for the past 20 years—and in each case has been lucky to work with the best people on the planet!

Her recent passion is working on a Sociology degree from Arizona State University to serve in victim advocacy. She enjoys community service, teaching, and playing in the outdoors with her wonderful husband and family.

Johanna began with Latitude in 2011, she has taken the support team built it up to be an irreplaceable asset for our users.

Kate loves the outdoors and spending time with her family. She is always busy being involved in numerous volunteer groups and events for her children’s school and their church.

Dave has been in command of the backend database structure since 2001 which is the backbone of Latitude.
